Hi there! I’m Claire Brown, and if you’re reading this, you’ve stumbled upon the corner of the internet where I get to share a little bit of myself — my journey, my art, and my adventures.
I recently started diving into the world of spoken word poetry and modeling, and let me tell you, it’s been one heck of a ride. From struggling with bipolar disorder and ADHD, to being hospitalized four times for my mental health, I’ve had my fair share of battles. But through it all, writing became my lifeline — my way of escaping, processing, and finding the words to express what I couldn’t say aloud.
Before all of this, I lived abroad in Germany, Austria, Italy, and Greece, where I worked in hospitality, travel and tourism. I also spent some time in London as a teacher, but the stress caught up with me, and it was there I hit my lowest point. But from the chaos, came my passion for both spoken word and modelling.
Now, I’m hosting two regular open mic nights in Shrewsbury, performing at gigs, festivals, and more. I’m also exploring opportunities to collaborate with photographers for fashion photoshoots and looking to book more gigs for speaking engagements.
Through poetry and modelling, I’m learning to embrace the beauty in the mess — in the highs, the lows, and the moments in between.
In this blog, you’ll find stories from my journey, updates on my latest performances, and a glimpse into what it’s like to live with mental health challenges while chasing big dreams.
